When it comes to beating the odds, James Pence is a professional. In October 2006, James was told to prepare for death. With the 22 tumors growing in his lungs and cancer eating away at his muscles and kidney, doctors believed the disease was too severe to treat. Though his first doctors couldn't help, he held on to his faith. He finally found an oncologist who could help him in Tucson.

Due to the 18 biopsies James underwent on his kidney and lung, today he is cancer-free. James goes out to tell cancer patients about his unbelievable journey. His message to them is simple — never give up hope.
